I'm sitting here looking at my old man's pics and I see nothing but greasy/shinny hair in his 80's pics.....

At what point in our era did we sit back and and say enough of this? :russ:

I see my pops at an engagement party with my mom in the 80's and the grease from his jerry curls have messed up the back of the shirt :snoop:

He probably thought he was the fliest cat in the room.:heh:

probably in the mid 90's. in the early 90's nikkas still had jheri curls, but they called them "texturizers" and what not. like they'd have a curl in their hair, yet get a fade on the side. if you wanna see an example, look at those early jodeci pictures.
