Oh God, here we go
Long and short: just because you cant explain why something works, this does not prove the existence of a god.
On the same token, just because there is no evidence, that does not mean the is not a god.
Facts: religions are made up and altered as time passes, so if there is a god/goddess, and even if there are more than one, us humans have no say in what he does or doesn't do. At least when someone says "there is no god" they dont need evidence, as there is nothing to say otherwise. Faith doesnt trump evidence, especially when your god and thousands of others were created during ages of extreme ignorance of how many things work.
If i had an enlightening dream tonight, woke up, and claimed a new god called Raspberry Scone spoke to me, brothas would call me crazy...but if other people believed me, and 200 years later our following goes from 20 men to 2 million, does that suddenly make it real? No, it makes it tradition.
Yes, there may be some otherworldly presence, no, you dont know how they work, if they give a fukk about humans, etc.
