On another note, they don't even pay homage to Pastor Troy either. He is an uncredited influence to a lot of ATL rappers. I would list Ghetto Mafia and Kilo, but a lot of these new rappers were like 5 or 6 when they were big in ATL. With Troy, he had a nice run in the '00's and you can hear him in some of Jeezy's style especially the ad libs.

Gucci is responsible for putting alot of these guys on so of course theyre going to ride with him. Plus Jeezy from many people can kind of be a bit stand-offish and never really tried to put on any young Atlanta artists (see all the people from CTE that he really gave some kind of push to are out of state). Ralo was the biggest Jeezy fan and then he met him and said he was a "fukk nikka" and then he signed to Gucci.

Cause these kids love that real dope boy trap music and Jeezy kinda abandoned that early on if you really think about it. They were probably too young to be influenced by Trap Or Die or TM101... after Jeezy's 2nd album he really tried to go hard with different topics, more "mature" production instead of the boomin trap type beats. But Gucci kept that flame lit... and ushered in the next wave of ghetto trap producers - 808 Mafia...and also stuck with the Zaytoven trap sound as well. Gucci kept it super hood and ignorant... Jeezy tried to be above a lot of that and make deep songs...and a lot of overproduced stuff probably influenced by Def Jam. Gucci didn't have no Def Jam A&Rs trying to mold his sound.. he just dropped tape after tape of that unadulterated trap shyt... and that's what really resonated with today's 20 year old rappers who were kids during that era.

Gucci made better music. plus, his shyt dont sound outdated like alot of jeezys.

cosign granted gucci doesn't have a TM 101 in his catalogue but beyond that he's just a better lyricist & versatile artist with more charisma

you can hear guwop's DNA in 21 savage, quavo, strap from travis porter, future and others. can't say that for the snowman. and let's not forget his influence on new jersey rapper fetty wap
