Yeah yeah I know, you "don't listen to the radio."

I have almost a thousand songs on my phone and I listen to THOSE while I'm working, but we commute for over an hour so I actually enjoy listening to the radio....WHEN there's something to listen to. I moved here from NJ/Philly last August, and that was the only thing that Philly still had on Atlanta cause Philly radio is sickness...

...but now we've got OG 97.9 AND Boom 102.9, both of which play classic hip-hop (97.9 also plays classic R&B, like from the 90s and such). There's also 99.3, but you can only get it inside The Perimeter, so they don't really count (although that one is independently owned and likely will last the longest because of that fact).

Is there room in Atlanta for THREE old school radio stations? Likely not, so one is the odd man out.

Anybody been listening to these? I personally favor BOOM 102.9, yesterday it was like me and wifey were in concert on the way home. In a ten minute span they played Jay-Z, Ice Cube and 3-6 Mafia. :win: :pachaha:

I listen to 102.9, it's dope but they are starting to play the same old shyt over and over again. How many times I gotta hear Missy's "all in my grill" or dmx's "ruff Ryder anthem" :wtf:

And sometimes they go way too far back and play some Wack shyt :scusthov:

Still a better option than the other radio stations :ld:

Give me that classic 90's badboy radio station and I'd be good :blessed:

Yeah, the BOOM station in Philly started doing that, I noticed, when we were back home around Christmas.

But you're right, it's still 1000x better than what we HAD here.

102.9 is kinda hard to get outside the Perimeter. We live near Grayson and that jawn can't come in clear enough.

However, I can get 97.9 in my GARAGE, with the door closed.

They had wifey in full ODB mode yesterday, rappin' along to "Brooklyn Zoo" like she was at the Apollo. :mjlol:

Honestly breh.....I don't listen to the radio :manny:

When I commute I actually like it to be quiet, gives me time to think. It's very relaxing.
