Yeah yeah I know, you "don't listen to the radio."
I have almost a thousand songs on my phone and I listen to THOSE while I'm working, but we commute for over an hour so I actually enjoy listening to the radio....WHEN there's something to listen to. I moved here from NJ/Philly last August, and that was the only thing that Philly still had on Atlanta cause Philly radio is sickness...
...but now we've got OG 97.9 AND Boom 102.9, both of which play classic hip-hop (97.9 also plays classic R&B, like from the 90s and such). There's also 99.3, but you can only get it inside The Perimeter, so they don't really count (although that one is independently owned and likely will last the longest because of that fact).
Is there room in Atlanta for THREE old school radio stations? Likely not, so one is the odd man out.
Anybody been listening to these? I personally favor BOOM 102.9, yesterday it was like me and wifey were in concert on the way home. In a ten minute span they played Jay-Z, Ice Cube and 3-6 Mafia.
