You had artists who were big deals without features, artists who had 2-3 artists on their own labels buzzing, artists that were killing the streets and the charts, and their collaborations with established Pop stars were mere footnotes

You're going to tell me that Waka Flocka and OJ Da Juiceman were bigger than Drake in '09? Lil' Wayne had a song with Madonna, but he had far bigger songs on his own the same year. Gucci's appearance on Mariah's "Obsession" is the biggest song he's been a part of.
