They look like they gonna be nice af but I don't know what's going on in the city. Turner Field was a nice little park, it's not old. The Georgia Dome isn't really old either by dome standards it still looks good..

Why not upgrades? Are taxpayers paying for this shyt?

Transportation is one of the reasons the Braves moved but the thing is that the area they moved to is even worse imo. Turner Field's parking and accessibility make it pointless to go to games, there's not even a MARTA stop. Also the majority race in Cobb are rich white people so there's that.

The Dome is pretty old and Blank wanted an open air stadium and so he could get a Super Bowl in ATL, that's basically it

Philips is getting glass windows like the new Falcons stadium and remodeled inside but i don't know when they're doing it

you know what I mean breh. It's not about the facilities or teams but about the city growing and expanding in all the wrong ways and for all the wrong reasons. The Dome and Turner Field could've lasted another 10 years really

Not to mention all those construction contracts stimulate the local economy, of which construction is an important industry with many investors. I still believe the Braves move is at least in part, racially motivated.

from what I read on SSC Blank wanted more revenue. Suite and club money are actually some of the few clear revenue streams for owners. Pretty much everything else is shared with the league. That's why you are seeing fancier stadiums. The Braves deal sounded like they wanted to move to where the fans are(aka, think we can make more money up north).
