I’m from Atlanta. Lives in DC for a decade. There is nothing like The A. Without a doubt, the most unique city for black people in the country. You can find any type of black person in this city. Educated, bougie, ratchet, scammers, urban, suburban, country, LGBTQ, street, artsy fartsy types, entertainers etc. very diverse group of black people.

Ratchet, scammers, street, urban…that’s all the same person 😂

And kind of a fruedian slip. Atlanta will have 5 slight variations of the same exact person. And it’s part of why Atlanta ain’t for some folk: That street/country element corrupts all the others. People with money still be country or street. Entertainers and such might as well be street. It’s that monolith man I couldn’t do it.

DC has that too, but it’s on steroids with Atlanta. DC has a cultural element that Atlanta doesn’t. Atlanta has people from other states. Dc has people from other countries

Breh I’ve been all over the country. You can shyt on the Chinese food and pizza in Atlanta, but we got the best wings in the country here. You gotta go to the right places tho

Where the good wing spots at? I'll be down there covering Dragoncon again.

Norfeast groovin…
Also, looks wise DC is nicer it’s the most unique layout in the country. It’s almost a European city in its design. Closer to the beach too.

The Bando got some good ass wings but be careful, it’s in the hood.

Three dollar cafe is my usual go to, but Jr Crickets, Magic city kitchen and Jamal’s wings are good too.

Most of the lil non franchise Korean and black owned joints know how to cook some wings. The blk strip clubs too like Pin Ups, Blue Flame, Onyx

How does it break out :jbhmm:

Black city rankings:
Tier 1
DC/ATL/NYC/DAL/HOU

Tier 2
NC/L.A.

Tier 3
TN(MEM/NSH)/BMore
From places I've either lived or visited extensively I'd break it out as:

Tier 1 (Best of the best)

ATL, Houston, DMV, NC,

Tier 2 (Great places to live as a breh)

LA, Philly, Memphis, Miami

Tier 3 (Solid places for a breh)

NY, San Antonio, Chicago, Detroit, Las Vegas

Tier 4 (Confirmed trash status to live, might be worth a visit though)

Boston, Dallas, Denver, San Francisco

Cities not listed means I've neither lived there nor spent considerable time there.

Before you ask I was born, raised and live in a tier 3 city. Get out of your feelings. (Not directed at the poster I'm replying to)

Give me Multiple international airports with top tier non stop flights globally and extensive public transportation to avoid traffic or a city is unlivable to me.

You’ve never seen me skate, so trying to gauge my talent is laughable on my end.

I can guarantee YOU can’t see me on my skates. I can out skate you in one boot.

You’re talking, but whenever you’re ready to prove, just let me know. You probably use your toe stops.
