:sas1:One more thing. Some of the baddest women in the city attend mega churches, and they are thirsty too. Since you're married, I suggest you get their early and sit in the front so you won't get distracted :sas2:

Well you' want the traditional black baptist experience, great choir, a mix of modern and classic praise and worship songs, pretty good sermons, and a good church building and atmosphere. I recommend the following 2 megachurches:

Greater Travelers Rest- Dr. E Dewey Smith

Berean Christian church- Pastor kerwin lee
( the Gwinnett location is headed by pastor Kevin Lee, which is a smaller church)

^^
Damn i was just about to say Berean.

Had no idea they had a Gwinnett location.

I didn't even know Berean was considered a megachurch. But then again they do have a huge "campus"

Go to Ray Of Hope in Decatur. It's my parents church and the pastor is a black woman

Yo, somebody ELSE highly recommended this church to us, and I know of Pastor Hale, she's dynamic!

Thanks for the info!

@OneManGang .....I'm seriously taking into account what you said about traffic on Sunday mornings. You think traffic to Decatur would be just as bad, or is it a case where there's a SPECIFIC highway/road that's backed up when the Falcons play?

I'm very familiar with that, considering that the same thing happens here when the Eagles play, lol....

Not really. It really depends on the ministry, on the whether the pastor is a “teaching” pastor” or a ”pulpit pastor". There’s definitely a difference and it’s difficult if not undesirable to go from a teaching ministry to one that is not. It’s almost like taking a step down in your walk, IMO.

And by “teaching ministry” I mean…..like, our current pastor is a learned PhD with a great grasp of history, Latin, etc. I think that’s IMPORTANT when you’re trying to teach the Word of God, to have a scholarly approach, almost. This is as opposed to the type of pastor who just gets up there on some “WEEEEEELLLLLL, AHHH….THE LOORRRRRD SAAAAIIID….”. :stopitslime: I mean, if that WORKS for certain people, so be it. But not for me. I'm tryinta get that good Word with some KNOWLEDGE behind it, yunno?

Yeah, that’s the type of stuff we need to be cognizant of, dawggie. ‘Preciate you bringing that up, we do need to consider that.

:salute: for real, brotha. Preciate it greatly! Gonna check these places out.
do you believe in god or are you looking for a body of people to join?

Cause I think cats like you are bullshyting

In that case now that I am in the A, I guess I need to cast aside my wayward ways and rejoin the flock.....
