Whether you like the music that's come out of ATL in the last decade, this is clearly a misrepresentation of reality. They've had a higher percentage of significant artist and a greater influence on the direction hip hop has moved in than anywhere else.

They have no top shelf talent past dro and Gucci who actually are emcees, breh.
There is no upside after Gucci and dro to listen to the while region damn near.
ATL has been stagnant talent wise since the influx of:

Yung la
Future
Who was that the cool kids who also did this style.
Past that, ATL is a retread of triple6 mafia outside of dro as a technical marvel.
Outside of dro's technical base there is not much else to ATL as a region talent wise.

Past shawty red there is not much talent wise in production.
As all the other producers are an interpolated portion of shawty red meets trip6 on production.
All, ran through a filter or the keys are arpeggio of a past shawty red played portion of a record.
