These are southern warm weather states.
Different regions have different issues breh.
People here can't drive on the frozen stuff. And it ain't got shyt to do with it being in the south. Hella up north transplants here that can't drive on it either. shyt don't get as cold here so it rains during the day or it snows but melts once it hits the pavement. At night when the temp drops it freezes and a sheet of ice forms and snow falls on top of that. You can drive on snow, shyt actually gives you more traction. Ice not so much. Add in hills everywhere and fukked up traffic already and that shyt is a disaster. They have to shut shyt down cuz if they don't the clean up will be epic. Last time folks got stuck out like that there was anondoned cars all over the place and the fuccery was at an all time high. This the south breh. nikkas was cooking out outside on Xmas and we've been riding with the windows and sunroof cracked since Thanksgiving. shyt don't snow like that down here so we don't have the infrastructure to take care of it- Salt trucks and all that other shyt. It's cheaper to just shut shyt down once every other year for a few days than to keep an army of snow plows and salt solutions and shyt that will never really get used
