Florida has Brightline train between Miami and Orlando and it's VERY popular.... it's a new service that was introduced a couple years ago.

Amtrak new service between New Orleans and Baton Rouge might start soon.

Wish that Brightline could come up to Atlanta or all the way to Charlotte

I would imagine Brightline would like to extend to Tampa first before considering any city north of FL. But an rail service between ATL and Charlotte only probably could work. If the departures are done during reasonable hours. There already is an Amtrak train between ATL and Charlotte but the departures are in the middle of the night and it's common for that specific Amtrak train to be late. I think a couple of passenger train round trips between ATL and Charlotte could be an success :manny:

If the train was faster it would make sense too

No you don’t

Brightline out here catching bodies every week

And I really don’t understand how, I’ve been at the tracks when it passed, it literally goes by in under 10 seconds

Who says this? :mjlol:
Everybody on the coli whenever @bnew or myself make a thread about how car dependent America is....and how we could learn a lot from cities in Europe or Asia.

We are bombarded with the same nonsense.

"It could never work here"
"This country is too spread out"
"Only makes sense in biggest cities"
"Who wants to ride on a train with these crazies next to you"
"It's too expensive!"

We're so spread out we'd still need a car to get to the train station:wow:

Do you ever wonder how people got to the train stations before everyone had a car?

or how 50k people filled the Roman Colosseum or 100k filled the Circus Maximus?
