Atlanta has been a hub for music for decades, but 1994 might be that year when everybody had to take notice. Atlanta had Kriss Kross and TLC's debut, but nothing as mammoth as TLC's CrazySexyCool. Before TLC would go on to release possibly the best selling album from female group, Kast dropped Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, which established ATL in Hip Hop in ways Arrested Development nor Kriss had. 1994 also saw Organized Noize become a power house joining Jermaine Dupri and Dallas Austin. 1999 saw another milestone for ATL as TLC returned with Fanmail, while not as massive as CrazySexyCool was still massive. It established Kandi and Tiny as a writing powerhouse who would go on to write "Bills, Bills, Bills" for Destiny's Child building on the success of TLC's "No Scrubs", which arrived months earlier. We also got Blaque. On the Hip Hop side, the Dungeon was still a powerhouse as we finally got Cool Breeze's debut led by a song that reached #1 on the rap charts, "Watch For The Hook". Up to this point, Kast was coming off of their biggest album, which was 1998's Aquemini. We saw the emergence of Attic Crew with debuts from the Youngbloodz and Jim Crow (which gave us Polow Da Don_.

10 years removed from Outkast's debut and TLC's CrazySexyCool, Atlanta moved to the forefront of the music industry. 2004 saw Usher release his diamond certified classic, iconic Confessions. OutKast was coming off their biggest album in 2003's Speakerboxxx/Love Below, 2004 also saw Lil' Jon's Crunk Juice which continued the crunk wave, Ludacris dropped Red Light District, and T.I. dropped Urban Legend. Ciara dropped her triple platinum debut:
