The Goldust Razor Ramon Feud, Vince took notice after all the backlash from fans about taking things too far

I actually went and re watched every RAW from mid 96 to 98.... is the beginning of the era but you see a slow transition, it isnt till march of 97 you see the set change and throughout the year you see the product change from some kiddy shyt and start to jump into the shyt we know as the attitude era.

the way Austin beat the shyt out of a religous washed up veteran of the 80's in Jake the Snake was very symbolic

Honestly? For me it was Goldust's debut, even though it was late 1995

Showed the new direction they were taking with darker, more controversial gimmicks

Anything involving SCSA/Bret/HBK from the 2nd half of 96 to all of 97 was the Attitude Era for me. This was all before Vince's official announcement. You had all heel factions going at one another at one point :dead:

It's tough to say exactly when the Attitude Era began, the wrestlers and some of the storylines were getting edgier at the end of the '96, but honestly, I think it was around the time when Russo was made head writer and they changed the RAW set that the company really changed, so that was in March '97, IIRC.
