I know we got some cats on here that talk about going back to Africa so I figured this might be something good to share.

One of the trickiest things about traveling to the motherland is having a good program in place so you see as much as you can see. There's so much to see, so why not make a field trip out of it?

A righteous brotha and real good friend of mine named Kamau and the organization he is a part of (National Black United Front-NBUF) is organizing a trip to Ethiopia towards the end of this year. This is actually the 3rd installment so this isn't some first time shyt there's a history behind this already. I copied and pasted the pamphlet from my e-mail so you all could see the programs and guests that will be there. There are different packages offered so choose whichever one you'd like. If necessary, I can forward the pamphlet as well.

I'm actually saving up to go on this journey myself because it's that fiya. Although I've been to Ethiopia, the things this trip offers are things that I myself haven't seen in the country. So if any coli fam is interested or want more information please contact my main man Kamau his info is at the bottom. When you call let him know Yonathan referred you so he know yall are from the coli, I already gave him a brief history of the coli and he fukks with our story and what we bout so I told him I'd bring this to yalls attention.

So yeah if yall bout that action like Real African Lynch get your reservations booked and start saving up, or if you got your certs and you on 6 figs then please support us as we seek to bring members of the Diaspora back home to the cradle of civilization!

Oh, and as always support ya boy here at Sankofa Videos & Books. We Black owned and operated, we scrappin with gentrifiers everyday, and we keepin it 1000% African Centered with no selling out permitted. Cop a book, stop by if you in DC cuz the food is piff, and its endless chicks in here.

Greetings sisters and brothers of the African Diaspora,

I write you today to invite you to join us in Addis Ababa, Axum, and Lalibela, Ethiopia this November 4-12, 2015 for the Third International Conference on Ethiopia and Its Biblical, Historical, and Cultural Roots. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to sit at the feet of distinguished historians and theologians of Africa. This trip is truly an opportunity to evolve Pan-Africanism from a mere ideology into a lived experience of cultural exchange.

Discover the African roots of the Bible and the Nile Valley spiritual systems that influenced the formation of the world religions of Christianity, Islam, and Judaism.

Described by many as the African Garden of Eden, Ethiopia's natural beauty is unsurpassed. Fly through the Ethiopian Highlands and explore Africa's only nation to maintain its sovereignty throughout its 3-million-year history. Not only is Ethiopia the home of the world's earliest humans, but also it is the source of the Blue Nile Waterfalls, whose river provides over 85% of the water that flows into the Nile River, the primary source for the abundantly fertile nature of Ancient Kemetic and Kushytic Civilizations.

Join master teachers like Anthony Browder, renowned Kemetologist, and Professor James Small, who was featured in Tariq Nasheed's conscious classic "Hidden Colors 2" as you explore the long and rich history of Ethiopia. Join Dr. Julius Garvey, the son of Marcus Garvey, and be a part of making history as you get answers to some of the many questions you may have about African Spirituality, the Bible, The Ark of The Covenant, Solomon and The Queen of Sheba, and much much more.

Get the true story of our heritage. Let's be on the front lines of history. It's one thing to read a book or to watch a documentary, but the ancestors are calling us to do much more than that. We must return to our Motherland and learn the wisdom of the ancients while connecting with our brothers and sisters on the ground in 2015. This excursion is the perfect opportunity to achieve both of these prerequisites for complete African mental, physical, and spiritual liberation.

I sincerely hope you can join us in November.

I've been to Africa, but I've never been to Ethiopia. It's one thing to read and talk to people about the region and culture, but it's another thing to be there yourself. I'm definitely down for something like this.I haven't had a proper vacation in a few years and this is definitely something that I don't wanna miss. @2Quik4UHoes Thank you man.

This thread is ironic because I was actually suppose to go to Ethiopia.

My sisters already thinking about moving to Ethiopia. She went there and enjoyed. She wants me to come, but I have school/work I can't miss...:mjcry:

Breh, trust me this trip will be fiya. The different packages get you different shyt. You can just do the conference in Addis Abeba which is the cheapest package, you can hit up northern sites like Axum and Lalibela, or you can head south and see the indigenous tribes still living like they lived thousands of years ago. There's also an additional package to travel to Cairo for a conference plus a trip to the pyramids/sphinx. I'm in the same boat as you though, I dunno if I'll be able to miss work for all this but I'm definitely aiming for it.

This is all the way Black no cac middlemen. I'm tryna see Axum n shyt I always wanted to go since I first learned of my history as a child.

Man I hope yall nikkas don't go there and ruin the land like these cacs. :wtb:

lmao, Black people can't ruin shyt out there. Kamau was tellin me when he went out there how the tour guides there show extra love for Black people that come home. They'll flat out tell you they prefer giving brothas and sistas a tour over cacs and will give you a way better tour because of it. So naw, won't shyt get ruined you'll only be embraced.

Again I have to see about school/work which isn't looking too good. I already used my vacation for a cruise(which I knew about before Ethiopia sadly).

But what you're saying seems neat. Anyways here's where my sister stayed(I think).

But yeah this is a GOOD idea to good and I recommend it. I never been to Ethiopia but my sister did and she really liked it so much that she wants to move there. She said she felt like she was in a "black LA". If your into your roots being in Africa than I suggest you go. She also said Addis is becoming a very modern city.

I think the place she was staying in Addis Ababa was "Wello/Wello Sefer".

She was staying in a host family who owned a bed and breakfast. It was for an orphanage.

Yeah, Addis is developing very rapidly. I think they just finished the street car system. To think that there's even a street car system in Ethiopia is absolutely mind blowing. The elders in my fam are proud as fukk, so long as they aren't at odds with the govt.

This is a very good idea tho. You'd be supporting through group economics, you'd get a chance to go to Africa, and it's laid out real proper like so it's no fukkery involved. Contrary to popular belief we Black people can get shyt like this done in the 21st century so long as we move towards it. I sung the coli's praises to him tho so he knows a lot of us on here are on that pro Black tip. I'm just glad I'm able to provide this opportunity for yall.
