One of my friends who doesn't even watch the NBA like that just randomly popped up in my groupme chat yesterday on some, "Larry Johnson should be banned too!"

Nobody even responded to dude, and just chalked it up as a confused mixed nikka comment.

:manny:
i hate people like that. i don't give a shyt about cricket so i'm not going to all of sudden have a million opinions on the matter when something comes up in that sport. cacs on the other hand, love to butt their head into everybody's business and at the same time talk about "i haven't watched the nba since the 80s." shyt is crazy bro.

one of the funniest things about debating this topic with cacs who are hella opinionated on this matter is that they abhor the nba, don't watch any games, don't support it at all. they wear that shyt like a badge of honor too...."I don't understand people who watch the NBA :upsetfavre:". yet they want to make sure they get their 2 cents in about sterling, mayweather possibly becoming an owner, larry johnson, jay z, etc....GTFOH.

The racism in vogue these days is one in which people turn logic and speech inside out and upside down in order to avoid bringing up race while clearly discussing race.. It's bizarre. I have no issue with blacks as people... But I hate the NBA and I think hockey players are better people than basketball players. I have no issue with black people, but I don't consider rap to be music and I demand it be turned off. It's so twisted.

I've watched white dudes walk into bars when the NBA playoffs are on and proclaim, loudly, to strangers, "I wish hockey was on, I hate watching this shyt." I've gone into bars that had a 50-50 split of customers who were interested in hockey and basketball playoffs but hockey was on all 7 televisions, and paying customers had to harass the bartender into reluctantly putting the NBA on just one of the TVs. I've had to argue with a bartender to show an NBA game 7 over a meaningless early season baseball game between two bum teams.

Or there's the completely insane brand of racism in which racism has been redefined so that nothing outside of a lynching is racist to certain people. I call it hashtag racism. You see it on twitter all the time. Cats will hit you with some wild shyt like black people please stop acting like gorillas just because you look like them! #notracist

That's what I'm sayin, I even apply that shot to threads on here if I don't give a fukk about it or like it then why do I have to give my opinion on it. I think some cacs honestly think we give a fukk about their opinion and admire it.

You've never seen that shyt? There were some amazing ones in the aftermath of the Richard Sherman rant. I'm pretty sure at least one person straight up called him a ****** and had the nerve to qualify that shyt with #notracist

I might have to try that strategy for 24 hours... Print a bunch of hashtag shirts and hit different spots... Walk into a high end supermarket in a #notstealing shirt, fill a cart up, and just roll it out the door without paying and shyt.

These are the big ones and it comes from insecure american hockey fans. It makes it real hard to be a hockey fan. Of course they'll say hockey gets little attention but we all know what you mean.

That's the thing I don't understand about these people. If you hate the NBA that's fine, stay on the damn sidelines when it comes to Sterling too. Don't pop off out of nowhere about reverse racism, white oppression, double standards now when you wasn't with me watching the pistons/bucks in a meaningless november game. The arrogance of the white man is the trait that separates them from every other race. Only people on earth who will openly express apathy towards you yet still want to control you at the same damn time.

I've seen slick comments/statuses on Facebook, but not that vulgar. I don't have a twitter account though, but I'm sure people come up with plenty of smart dumbass comments/hashtags on there when stuff like this is going on.

Exactly. People saying the NBA is boring and what not but it's now, there's constant action, and unlike hockey there isn't a societal codes on what you can say, do, etc. The fans in the NBA also don't think they are cooler then everyone else.

@Walt @dtownreppin214 I think you guys are 100 percent right, but the NBA needs to start avoiding these blowups. The brawl, Donaghy, etc it has to end. The need to react before the media, not sit on their hands. This gives fuel to the people you guys are talking about. The people who say college ball and its 10,000 hour shot clock has players with more heart.
