If he was an illegal immigrant in New York, he’d be set free. Sucks to be him.

He wouldn’t be set free.
But he wouldn’t get 105 years because that penalty is outrageously unbalanced given the severity of the crime.

Something the New York justice system would recognize.

There is crime and punishment. But it has to match.

Sucks but at some point if you can not stop committing crimes either because of mental issues, drugs or a combination of the two then you need to be removed from society. Removed from society to help them or to protect the the public, regardless some people should not be allowed to roam free.
