:snoop:Can you imagine how much further along they'd be if they had just kept the Noel pick? It was bad enough to essentially max out an injury-prone SG in Gordon, but to compound that mistake by trading a top-6 pick for a league-average PG... :why:

EDIT: And how could I forget about fukking Reke :snoop::snoop::snoop:
I'm sorry has Noel done anything to make this trade look bad because I'm pretty happy with what we're getting from Jrue. Jrue is in fact one of the few good moves Demps has made.

Tyreke was a bad move for the simple fact he doesn't fit into what Monty wants from an offense. When a head coach and GM aren't on the same page as far as what type of team we're trying to have, one has to go. Hopefully both.

Their incompetence is remarkable

- Traded two top 10 picks for Jrue Holiday
- Gave Eric Gordon a max contract
- Gave Tyreke Evans a big contract and also traded Robin Lopez for him, which in turn led them to...
- Trade their pick this year to the Rockets for Asik which will certainly be a lottery pick
- Used a top 10 pick on Austin Rivers

Goddamn
And they still almost a playoff team in the West. They so lucky they got AD. nikkas be doing the dumbest shyt in NBA Front offices.

Well, I can agree with you that the talent disparity might not be massive (as of yet), but to me it's a matter of simple economics. And I like Holiday.

Would you rather pay a guy who ultimately doesn't move the needle/has very little upside at the deepest position in the league $10 million a year or have someone on a rookie contract with 25% of the salary for that same amount of time at a position of scarcity and room for significant improvement in his game?

The Tyreke contract was indefensible at the time and has only become more laughable so let's not even bother discussing it.
