Australia is not where I remember it to be

In the reality I remember Australia still was hot. But was located south of New Zealand. You guys were not anywhere close to Papua New Guinea.

And I got one question: Does Australia have rain forests now?

I read that somewhere and it blew my mind. The Australia from my previous reality was a barren desert in the center with some nice green lands along the perimeter of the country. I never heard of that Australia having anything close to a rainforest.

I think you may have mental problems...

This is just one fact I know is as real to me as my name. So I may not remember the names of books or the faces of people from a decade ago. But I do remember this as vividly as my name.

Look, it's not that difficult to follow logically. If a person admits they can't remember the names or faces of people with whom they had serious interactions, then it's unlikely said person can be trusted to accurately recall the position of countries on a map.

There has been no change in reality: your poor memory has just let you down.

And just like you couldn't convince me my name was something else even if every piece of evidence in this reality said otherwise, you won't convince me that the location of Australia hasn't changed.

You just suck at geography & general knowledge. During the last Ice Age people & animals could walk between New Guinea & Australia.

In the reality I come from Australia was thousands miles south of Papau New Guinea. It was completely isolated from everywhere else in the world. Only Tasmania to the south and New Zealand to the northeast were anywhere close to it. The rest of its surroundings was open ocean for thousands of miles. Thus there was no migration or movement of any animals to and from Australia in the last couple of million years.

As a result, I remember watching countless nature shows on Animal Planet and Nat Geo that discussed how unique the animals in Australia were from everywhere else on earth since they were so isolated.

This is why learning there are kangaroos on Papau New Guinea is so freaky to me. This is a reality I simply don't understand.
