Solid adaptation. More mature tone than OG. Zuko and Iroh actors killed roles. The Katara actresses is bad though and definitely weakest link. Fire nation side being more fleshed out was cool. Aang actor was good for what they gave him but he was too serious. Aang goofiness/ kid nature was missing. Not sure how this is getting any bad reviews. Played it very safe and stuck decently to source material. Visuals looked great for Netflix show. Aang not water bending was weird though

Finally got through this. Initially I was worried about this being too silly and it ended up being way too serious. They completely ripped the fun and young aspect out of Aang.

Also Aang not water bending even as the ocean spirit was a peculiar decision to make.

The Katara actress is horrible.

The Avatar gang don't have any chemistry together.

Azula and to a lesser extent The Fire King were introduced too early.

They just about nailed Zuko and Uncle Iroh

The highlight of the entire series for me was the Avatar Kyoshi scene.

I hope they get Toph right and it improves the interactions with the Avatar gang
