the way a couple of y’all described it w/ the color coded illuminated headphones that are coordinated to specific DJ sets is dope...my dumb ass thought everybody just brought their own headphones and was just listening/dancing to their own playlists :mjlol:

Its cool conceptually but in practice it was pretty dumb.

It was a one and done type experience for me

I keep hearing about these :patrice:

- on one hand, options are good
- on the other hand, it kinda cheapens the value of a proper dj
- if I ever end up in a silent fete my sensibilities would revolt, elitism accusations be damned
- I still want to try one just to see what's what
- warehouse raves :jawalrus:

Yo it changes how you want to party. I did one last year and it honestly is kinda GOATish. The shyt I did had two channels you could switch between. One was current hiphop and the other was old school rnb. The color of your headset let people know what station you was currently on. Green (hiphop) and Blue (RnB). You basically listen to which every channel suits you and if you don't like the current song being played you can switch over. You meet a bytch in the club and she on the blue, you switch over to see what she shaking her ass to and next thing you know yall on the same wave length. You on blue but trying to figure out why everyone in green so hype, you switch over and find out they playing some hot shyt.

Also the key underated part is that you can always pop one ear out of the headphones and actually talk to people in the club if you want. Because its silent you can actually hear your friends if needed or if you really trying to get at a shorty.
the way this nicca explain it make it sound kinda hot. My ass was deadset on using the termm "cac shyt" tho :leostare: i might fukk widdit next city i vacay to tho :ld:

Sounds fun, but not all the time, I need to feel that bass vibrate my body, and them highs tickle my ears. Headphones can never emulate high end speakers.

You can tell a lot of people grew up with in ear monitors because once you hear a good sound system, it's hard being satisfied with just headphones, let alone regular ones. I doubt these parties are supplying high end headphones

i did it once there were 3 djs on state reggae hip hop and soca, each dj had a different color to listen to what they were playing, so you would see people with head circles on headphones, people with green, people with blue, just changing to which ever dj with a tap of a button on the head phones.

it was to listen to hip hop and then see a girl with red head phones and just go dance with her to some soca and change it and find another chick with the reggae color and start dancing.

MAN y'all are describing it much better than I did. :russ:

Nah, I didn't describe it well enough initially, I think.
