Has AZ ever locked in with one producer? I'd like to hear an album with him and someone like Pete Rock. They've made heat in the past, and Pete proved he's still got it with the Common joint.

It’ll have my ear, but AZ’s last 15 yrs of his career has been underwhelming.

I was gonna make a thread about it a few weeks back but I’ll post it here

But in an ideal world, with the right push, producers, label etc AZ could’ve been what Rick Ross is. I’m talking persona, music and all that. AZ’s playa tracks are better than his more rugged shyt, but he’s comfortable in either lane.

Ive always said that......he needed to go a niche route ..that same luxury , smooth rap...and lock in with one producer one sound.

I like AZ as a rapper but his albums be straight mid as fukk.

Last AZ album i liked was Aziatic and even that 1 had some wack ass production.

AZ just picks the most random mundane or flat out wack ass beats.
AWOL was a classic imo but since then I gotta agree most been average or slightly above average but still usually has a handful of songs where he kills it. Actually he kills almost every verse it’s just the beats and hooks that kinda bog it down
