Ok...this whole part is just silly. First off, did he drive from Philly to NY? Then he talking about Puerto Ricans in Spanish Harlem AND Washington Heights? C'mon kid...pick a locale. Not to mention, eryone knows Washington Heights is mostly Dominican.

Finally...the Deagan don't go through Washington Heights....it's right of the West Side Hwy...or Henry Hudson but NOT the Major Deagan.

What you're speaking of does happen a lot in rap but I don't think your examples are very good. For example, when he's speaking of catching 'em sleeping in Spanish Harlem he's clearly talking about something that happened earlier, he's just thinking about it while he's trying to chill out smoking.

I don't really see an inconsistency there. If you wanna pick one from that song it oughta be Nas' part where one moment he says he's switching to Nature to catch some news and then when he switches back to AZ he says he got the news last night while fukking his girl.
