Never understood that line especially with all the NY points name dropped on Illmatic. NY's convicted go to Clinton not San Quentin. Everytime I hear that line I think of how AZ was stumped and couldn't think of a NY prison that rhymed with "Sittin'" and "Tradition" so he started reaching.

I'm not gonna lie.....the flow is great saying "san Quentin"........But overall it still sounds off. "Sittin up in Clinton" or "sittin' stuck on Clinton"...either one of them could have worked.
