keep listening to those industry lies... that's not good at all for anybody.. unless by independent you mean, she put up all her own money and is gonna make back all the profit
which we know isn't true cause a label is involved... so lets say she got $5 a record... which is a monumental stretch considering an album costs 9.99... that'd be a straight 50/50 split before the label even paid anyone else
but lets say that's $5... that's 300k... now pay all your people involved for all their work.. stylists, management, hanger ons, taxes, agent.... then add in all the shyt you don't get being independent... like travel, expenses, advertising, etc
she'd be lucky to walk out of there with 50k after spending however much on an album, about 2-4 years in the making
and again... no fukking way she gets 50% of her gross sale money.. label gets paid first, then you recoup, then you get paid, then your team takes their percent
this is obviously a marketing ploy. or she just batshyt crazy.. she's admitted she's bipolar and has mental problems.. but don't ever trust the truth in a person who follows up ANYTHING WITH "oh yea and don't forget to buy my album"
