And funny thing is that all of VC's buzzer-beaters were threes. He had that stretch in 2000 where he hit two game-winning buzzer-beater threes just a week apart, then dunked on someone for the game-winner like a week later, then he dunked on the 7' French guy a couple months after that. Carter was my favorite player in the NBA that year but the magic didn't really hold.

edit: I almost forgot he won the dunk contest with arguably the GOAT performance just a few weeks before those game winners. In terms of hype that had to be one of the best stretches a player has ever had.
