“Founded in 1946, the Knicks are one of the league's oldest franchises and have a storied history that includes two NBA championships, won in 1970 and 1973.”

Trade Jaylen for the best pick you can get this year (San Antonio #2 pick preferably), KP and Jrue. Develop Scheierman next year and tank for a top 3 pick. You’ll have cap and ammo to trade for 2 stars in the 26-27 season.

If there’s a GM I trust with this is Brad Stevens.

I like this, but Jaylen’s contract may be too costly for teams.

I'm not sure why Celtics fans are panicking :mjlol:.

Y'all will still be competitive next season, and one of the best teams in the East, just not 60+ wins and Finals/championship contenders type of competitive but still a very good team.

Y'all have no faith in Brown, and it's crazy, especially when there have been times he's carried the load better than Tatum in crucial moments, even outplaying him at times the past few years, leading in big situations, postseason games, etc.

Boston's great success these past few seasons hasn't been just because of Tatum alone; Brown's played a big role in that success.

Boston isn't trading JB; he and Tatum are virtually untouchable. The realistic outcome is that Boston will run it back next season with Brown as the guy and see where he takes them, but they're not trading one-half of their cornerstone guys just to tank a year until Tatum comes back, cause that'll effectively end Boston's championship window moving forward because Tatum as the solo guy isn't getting you anywhere near a chip.

Tatum is a better scorer, rebounder, defender, passer/playmaker... as someone who is one of Jaylen's biggest fans, I can't believe there's still people who think it's a 1A and 1B situation. Tatum is clearly better and it's not close.

Gonna be a long Journey. Oct 2026 can’t get here fast enough.

One silver lining is now Jayson Tatum can get surgery on that wrist that has been ailing him since 2022. He put off surgery on it for years because they were always deep in the playoffs and training camp was around the corner. He should get that done as well

I agree. But one thing I would say Brown is clearly better at is that he's willing to embrace contact on offense consistently. And when his 3 pt shot is not falling, he's more willing to recognize that he needs to put his head down and go to the rim or hit that mid range.
Tatum at times will not be willing to embrace contact. If his shot isn't falling, he can be wildly inefficient offensively

To me it was a 1A 1B situation for a couple of years IMO. But do I think Brown is better than Tatum? Of course not, he never was. Tatum is better at everything other than being efficient on offense. I do think this year though, Tatum took an even greater leap and completely separated himself as much better than Brown

But honestly, I can give a fukk about have these conversations because I love them equally, and I knew since they were drafted they will both be stars. And no, I do not just want to trade Brown for just anybody to have him off the team. Either he gets traded for Giannis, or you keep him on the Celtics

We all know Tatum is better overall but to sit here and act like Boston's success is all about Tatum is lying to yourself or only looking at shyt from certain angles.

Tatum and Brown complement each other; the Celtic's success throughout the years since these two have been teammates is because of both of them. It's a 1A and 1B situation because we've never seen either one of these guys play without the other for an extended time.

Do you really think Boston has these 50-60+ win seasons, all these conference finals appearances, and wins the Chip, or let alone make it that far to the Finals without Brown? I highly doubt it.

What this injury to Tatum will do is give us a glimpse of how legit JB is even tho we know he's legit already playing next to JT but this will give us confirmation on how good he truly is and in a hypothetical scenario where it was Brown injured and JT by himself, we'd really see what he's made of without Jaylen.
