Puffy is like the rap industry serial killer. He'll go around in his van, roll up on some underground artists "ay yo, I got a nice deal for you, word to BIG, just get in the van" and half of those suckers go inside. Puffy takes them home and he just encases them in cement and buries them in his wall, never to be seen again.

vinny chase is dope. can't wait for his next project. if this is true tho... he should get the fukk out :merchant:

If its jus a management deal he should be good money. Diddy kno how to take nikkas to the next level. Ppl forget that Diddy was managing Rozay during that whole transition period from Teflon Don to this whole MMG empire ish.

Love the illustration. I'm thinking all these record labels are like that though. I'll never understand how Aftermath sat on their old roster for so long, same with The Roc. Reminds me of Ab-Soul's line about "till your release date gets date raped."

Word you can say the same thing about Dre. How many flops and fukk ups did he have :leon:

More than Puff if you think about it.

Eve, Busta, Knocturnal, Rakim , Stat-Quo, Bishop Lamont, Joell Ortiz, Truth Hurts

Nowadays you gotta enter as a complete package in order to get the right look. Thats why Kendrick prospered. I remember when cats were calling K.Dot stupid for linking with Dre.

Imo I dont think Diddy was a good move for Vinny, he would of been more suitable for a RCA, Epic, Polo grounds type deal, or even Roc Nation. But he prolly see's it on sum harlem shyt. So you cant knock him :manny:

How many average cats didn't Puff make millionaires? :childplease:

You cats think these execs want to lose millions on investing in flops?
It's like gambling, as long as you win more than you lose you're good.

Look at any label.

Puff deals with major label shyt which means that, if you can't reach a certain level you won't get put on.
If he was an indie cat, everyone would get released. These artists know the deal, it's like a wack baller going pro he knows that he has to reach a certain level to make it out the practice squad it's not always the managers fault that he can't make it.
