Hold ya nuts, this is low-key an all-out assault on this concept of America that respects and is inclusive of people of color and the diversity we bring
The SB is one of the biggest cultural events in this country and the halftime show is the biggest platform for artists; huge opportunity for the biggest artists in the world to entertain but also a chance to display a diverse cultural expression and representation
Move by Turning Point is right out of the culture war playbook, I’m sure it’s obvious to most of us
1. Label this artist that doesn’t fit your idea of who belongs as un-American and “not like us”
2. Announce that you’ll be having a separate event at the same time in protest of this bullshyt. Put some “real Americans” like Kid Rock on stage. Call it some real dumbass shyt like, “The All American Halftime Show.” Yeah, they’ll eat that shyt up.
3. Get some “pro-patriot” sponsors. Like some real American companies who make shyt here in the good ol’ USA.
4. After the show, inflate the viewership numbers of your show and say it competed with the other event that’s promoting that “fake woke” bullshyt … wait, no, no, no… say it drew a bigger audience—the actual numbers don’t matter because the impact will be enough to get Roger Goodell’s attention.
5. Give the NFL some ultimatum around capitulating to your demands of putting some acceptable white folk on stage otherwise you’re gonna do it bigger and better next year
The NFL will either bend the knee and you win
Or they won’t and you keep the propaganda machine going
