Weekend Update was pretty good.
Always preferred MadTV myself especially its early run.

A nice firebroken Firestick opens up every episode. Looking at past eps you quickly learn it was never a show that was full blown funny because its corniness wouldn't get out of the way. In between there were some memorable sketches. But overall it's mediocre. Chevy Chase criticizes the current show but they were corny back then too.
