Battlefield 5 Or Bad Company 3 May Be Incoming As DICE Confirms A New Battlefield Game « GamingBolt.com: Video Game News, Reviews, Previews and Blog

It was just last week that rumors about a potential Battlefield 5 or Bad Company 3 was in the works, thanks in large part of an IMDB listing. While the particular source was dubious enough that there were some if wondered it was some kind of prank, it turns out the company has now confirmed that they are indeed working on another title in the Battlefield series.

DICE development director Dan Vaderlind was the one to spill the beans, and he did it in the way that so much other video game information is coming these days. Vaderlind made it very clear on Twitter that while there are people who are still working on Star Wars: Battlefront, now that the game has launched, there are members of the DICE development squad that are going to be moving onto other projects, including another Battlefield. “Now that we’ve shipped Battlefront and a part of the team continues to work on it, I am moving on to another project, the next Battlefield.”

There hasn’t been a ton of information released about the game just yet, though there is of course the apparent setting of Japan thanks to that IMDB listing. EA has previously said the next game in the series would be going back to a military setting, after having a cops and robbers theme in Battlefield: Hardline. We also don’t have an official release date for the next game but Electronic Arts had previously said they would like to have it out during the Holiday season of 2016.

There's really not much big of a difference between Bad Company and a standard Battlefield game

bad company is more open world maps and was waaaay bigger maps. Battlefield is more stream lined maps and they got a call of duty feel to them almost just a little bigger

plus the guns in battlefield felt cheap compared to bad company guns (hard to explain)

I have no faith in dice/ea now though so im sure theyll find a way to fukk up battlefield 5 or bad company 3 :yeshrug:

bruh... what? bf3 and bf4 maps are tiny as fukk compared to bad company 2 maps :mjlol: if you didnt get a vehicle at the start of bad company 2 maps you were pretty much fukked getting to a check point :dead:

oh yeah I forgot you probably played console :mjlol: smaller map sizes :bryan:(literally.. on bad company 2 and previous battlefield games you could change how big the map is and how many check points in conquest there were. since console was limited on players you guys only had the small versions :bryan: )

on PC

this was 1/4th of the map :dead: you could go any where on this map and set up shop.. on battlefield 3 and 4 only 1-2 maps per game were close to this size.. and they werent as open world (can go anywhere). You could go in the hills in this map and snipe people, etc..

and I said the game has turned more call of duty'ish where the maps are smaller, more stream lined and you turn the corner and you see an enemy.. in bad company 2 it wasnt like that , it was more tactical..
