one of the GOAT RPGs

of course its hard, it was hard even for that time. compared to todays games its prolly like impossible difficulty

basically sometimes you have to completely reroll if you fukked up your char development

but Im assuming you cant breakout from the very first dungeon, chapter 1 ? get more familiar with mechanics and how stats go, and what spells you can use, etc.
read up some guides/walkthroughs. knowing ad&d rules helps.

bg is game of specific character development and lots of micromanaging in combat. its also really rewarding once you get the hang of it. once you finish it you'll feel like youve played an epic ass saga.
actually Id recommend starting from the first one.

planescape is my fav RPG ever...storywise and atmosphere its amazing. BG is the better gameplay tho
