At one point he was looked at as being one of the next big things in the sport. In 2012 he helped Man City win the Premier League and took Italy to the Finals in the Euros, which only added to the hype. But after that he was inconsistent for a while, and then he completely fell off. Most of the news about him recently has been more about his personality and off field antics then his game.
