Barbers found a new hustle with first time fees?

My barber recently moved cities . All the other barbers in the shop are trash. So this has forced me to go out looking for a new one. I've been going to StyleSeat and Booksy looking for them in my area. Have seen a lot of decent to really good barbers on there, but one thing I noticed is most of them had a "First time client" charge.

Brehs have their regular cuts from $25 to $35 then their first time charges are $55 to $70 . What kinda backwards ass shiit is this? Usually you give new customers/clients discounts, then you give them the real price once they come back. Is this the new hustle for barbers?

The fukk that’s wild. When I was in queens most of the barbers seems to range between $40-50 moves to Brooklyn the barber are $25 ($30 with a tip). They could get the fukk out of here.
