I was at the shop today and this nappy headed 7 year old took all day. First, he had a mohawk and he didn't want the barber to pick it. That took like 3 minutes before the barber finally said forget it. Then the barber put his hand on the back of his neck. To cut near the bottom of his head.

And this niguh started to fake like the barber was choking him. "YOU'RE CHOKING ME! YOU'RE CHOKING ME!" Coughing and spitting. When he finally was done he got up like he was tortured by Jack Bauer. Why should a barber charge less money if you're doing more work? Women pay so much for braids and weaves because it takes more work. It should be the same with barbers.

My proposal is that if they take more time then it should then the parent needs to pay upfront for their work done so far. Anything over that time and the barber charges extra money. That would cut out a lot of this mess. Most mothers will tell a child "Sit yo punk ___ down before I punch you in your chest". And that fake outrage is over from the child. But for those who refuse, charge more.

that might create even more of scene unless you have a sign that says you don't cut kids.
Nah as the proprietor of the business you can refuse service. Its simple safety, if the kid is squirming in the chair and crying, the barber could potentially harm the child with the clippers (or induce trauma :manny:) the barber can simply be like "ma'm or sir, can you try to calm him down?" If they dont try or are unsuccessful be like, "I cant cut his hair, not when he's acting like this, sorry."

My father would always go with my brother and give him the :birdman: if he started acting up. Parents need to check their kids when they go get services. If the child is too sensitive or young, then maybe they need to think about other options. But yeah, the Barber should charge more if they have to do more work.
