Coli fam, have you ever converted to another religion before? Was the experience hard for you? I remember a while back I was going to convert to Judaism (never went through with it). It's hard joining a faith (Agnostic right now).

Nah it was mad easy...

When your pastor was a self indulgent son of a biscuit eater...

And u find out half your church family are living double lives...

And your salvation is dependent on your Status

It's a simple task to just say fukk it :camby:

Left the church for the Cipher ain't ain't been byke :manny:

Did you find spirituality or etc and join something else? I was brought up Baptist and didn't agree with it my later years.

Yes I did...

I wasn't fulfilled and had no sense of self or purpose till i made my decision

Yeah it was VERY rough in the beginning

but I have no regrets

..

It created a wedge between me and my mother for awhile..

Lost some friends and girlfriends

But I had to do what I had to do for ME

Not really.

Never cared for it much in the first place and as soon as I left for college I realised I didn't have to go to church anymore. :blessed:

I did take Shahada when I was 16, my Grandmother is Muslim and gave me a Quran. I didn't fake it very serious and pursued other paths of enlightenment such as listening to C Freeman El

I see this path with young people of our generation and the 70's/80's babies leaving the church. Also, I saw a church yesterday named after a pastor (community center of the church).

See, it's even hard for me to convert. Like I somewhat believe that Jesus existed, but didn't die on the cross. I mostly agree with this form of Jesus.

I think him and G-d are two separate entities. I've made to appointments with the Rabbi, but always canceled. It doesn't help when Black Christians who don't know their history gun you on FB when you announce it. Somewhat I'm scared to take that path, but I know one day my two choices would either be Orthodox Christianity or Judaism.

P.S. I agree with the view that G-d isn't a man in the sky, but a universal figure. Also, he is beyond human comprehension. That's mainly one reason I left my former religion.
