Yo she deserves a TON of credit bc there’s a lot of ‘random’ bars from that era that are now common sayings and the originators don’t get credit

I been meaning to make a thread on how ‘Give you your flowers’ is now everywhere. That shyt come from Oschino! They give you flowers while you dead but no soup when you sick’.

Jalen rose used to always quote that on his podcast (and give Oschino credit), then started using it on ESPN…then Nore started saying it…and it blew up

Would be interesting to have a general hip-hop etymology thread considering how often random bars become a part of the American lexicon.
