There are a few things running through my mind.

Why is Paulie doing this. I don't think he needs the money and he could easily earn enough commentating or training.

His composure shows you the toughness of professional fighters. You'd think he was talking about a stubbed toe.

What type of backwater promotional company is he fighting under. It sounds as though he was sent to A and E. They'll carry out a triage. If it is not deemed an emergency then yeah, he'll be in for a long wait.
