Prime Baron Davis was an animal. What initially went left wit him again ? ACL injury ?
He had ACL injuries before he even hit the league. Combine that with the knee injuries he got after and the fact that he never really got into shape except for contract years, plus the idea that Baron was never completely focused on basketball, he never was going to live up to his full potential. Baron could've been the best point guard since Magic, from a talent/potential standpoint but he was busy getting high before games.
As far as court vision goes though, Baron's was elite. He was one of the smartest players ever, on some Jason Kidd shyt, when it came to knowing where people should be on the floor.
That said, Chris Paul HAS all of the qualities to be as great of a passer as anyone, and he's a top level one. He's just more concerned with not turning the ball over, so he'd rather just keep dribbling than to take a chance on a risky pass.
