Somehow I never got around to watching Diner. But it is on my Amazon list.

He's got quite a list of movies under his belt.

The Natural
Good Morning Vietnam
Rain Man
Bugsy
Disclosure
Sleepers

I've seen most of those above, as well as You Don't Know Jack, and The Wizard of Lies

I’ll add it to my list.
Lately I have been looking for more indie/understated dramas. Even romantic comedies.

I’m really just bored of this trend in movies and shows where it’s all action and people shooting guns or swinging swords. There’s no depth to it at all. How many dumb ass comic book crap or Viking bullshyt can one take ?

Edit - I already have Diner on my list. What I meant was that I will add Liberty Heights.

You're absolutely on my wave:smile:

It's boring in these cinematic streets! Even the supernatural stuff

I had a studio Ghibli marathon and recently finished The Panic in Needle Park to refresh my mind

What u got on your list? If you don't mind :lupe:

My list is a lot of bullshyt, lol. I'll watch an actor and then I'll look for other things they've done that I haven't seen. So I've got a bunch of Philip Seymour Hoffman on it now.

A Most Wanted Man
Jack Goes Boating
Synecdoche New York
Owning Mahowny
The Field (1990)
Prisoners
Red Rocket
State and Main
Youth (2015)
Apollo 13
A Hero
Flag Day
Silence (by the way, almost everything with Adam Driver is interesting to me)
Belfast
The Boxer (I've seen this but I barely remember it. Daniel Day-Lewis is the GOAT tho)
Tree of Life
Another Round
Benny & Joon
A Separation
Calvary
Savages (2007)
Moonlighting (1982)
House of Games
The Right Stuff
Diner
Bad Lieutenant
The Old Man and the Gun
The Lion in Winter (I was just in the mood to watch old movies one day so I added this with Dr Zhivago and I think I saw Gandhi and Lawrence of Arabia again)

That's just Amazon.

On HBO Max I'm about halfway through Clean & Sober with Michael Keaton. Looks ok so far.
The other day I came across When Harry Met Sally. I've always avoided these chick flicks but I actually enjoyed that. Something about Nora Ephron...I dunno

Netflix doesn't really have shyt. I've got Wind River, The Dig and The Railway Man on my list but I don't know that I'm excited to watch any of them. My mood changes. Sometimes I'll start something and 15 minutes into it I'm like....yeah, fukk that noise.

Oh...I actually went back and rewatched Serpico like 2 weeks ago? I never did watch The Panic in Needle Park. Maybe I'll finally do that. I hope it's not a bunch of scenes of heroin addicts shooting up. Kinda creeps me out.

What I'm finding lately is that I'm going back and watching movies that I've typically ignored or avoided. Sometimes I'm pleasantly surprised.

I do kinda like movies set in New York back in the 1970s or 1980s before shyt got all cleaned up and changed.
Like, I'll watch The Pope of Greenwich Village or State of Grace or The Professional and just admire the fukk out of it. Granted, those aren't exactly artsy or understated really, but I'm just rambling here

Great list

Phillip Seymour Hoffman stole my heart in Along Came Polly which was trash:russ:

I love When Harry Met Sally. Watching it makes me realise how hard it is to pull of a romantic comedy. You've Got Mail is nice too

Yeah The Panic in Needle Park is just that. I loved it when I was younger but it's just heroin and betrayal lmao

I gotta to see Serpico. I just saw Scarecrow and it let me down!!

I kinda am, but I feel like he should have been a much better actor that he actually was/is.

The Wrestler was good. He had relatively small parts in White Sands and The Rainmaker.
I never did see 9.5 weeks.

I know he's done Sin City movies but that's not really my style

I haven't seen his bigger projects so Angel Heart is on my list

Barfly or Rumble Fish might be to your liking:smile:

Tin Men is like one of the first movies aimed at adults that I liked as a kid. Danny DeVito and Richard Druyfess were great and it was very funny.
