He doesn't lack talent, just hasn't gotten the playing time. This is a win-win for him.....get a head start on your masters degree, the role of feature back is up for grabs...keep in mind a guy like Matt Cassel was a backup his entire time at USC, and worked his way to being a starting NFL QB for a time. Who is to say that Jr, can't make that same ascension? Barring injury, he could put up numbers without all the mileage of playing an entire college career.

Actually Barry sanders sr was a back up for 2 of his 3 years in college and didn't even have 1000 yards in his first 2 seasons combined.
