That used to be a regular part of baseball back in the day when broahs used to play. Then spring football and summer football conditioning programs killed baseball particiation for African American. Baseball been praying to get young broahs back every since.

Baseball is too expensive for the average kid these days. It's not expensive to actually play, but to get noticed, you gotta do AAU and travel ball. Not to mention how much their equipment is. The problem is you ised to just be able to get a ball and bat but now you're looking at thousands of dollars that these kids just don't have. Not to mention, training and being in a system that gives those kids a head start so when it comes to high school and college they already have an advantage while scouts are overseas looking there instead of in the city. They too busy looking for the next Mike Trout and David Ortiz instead of finding the next Ken Griffey.
