MLB recently improved their product with the introduction of the pitch clock. The NBA should do the same thing.

If the NBA wanted to improve its product and particularly the end of close games they would need to focus on refereeing.

The subjective judgment of what is and isn’t “incidental” contact by referees is what decides 95% of close games.

Teams are confronted with a choice to try to win by shooting threes, or hoping that the referees interpret contact in their favor.

Let nikkas play up :manny:. Dont call as many of the ticky tack fouls. Aint gotta review if you aint calling every little thing. 2 shots and the ball for intentional fouls. Take away another TO or just limit how many can be used late.

This. In the last minutes of tense and close games, You often see referees mistake good defensive checking/coversge/plays for aggressive fouls.

They added all of those things because people were complaining about not getting the right calls at the end of the game. This lead to coaches holding on to replays. The intention fouling thing was a loophole that became exploited...like all of the current loopholes...then it became out of control.

There's no way they can win with this. Whatever they change for "fans" will lead to some group complaining
