I didn't see a thread for this so I might as well make one. The 2014 Basketball Hall of Fame inductions are going on right now on NBA TV.

The Class
David Stern
Alonzo Mourning
Mitch Richmond
Sarunas Marciulionis
Slick Leonard
Gary Williams
Nolan Richardson

I'm so happy about Zo, he's my favorite center of all-time. What a warrior, one of the best defensive 5s ever.

Richmond is a HOF now so he can't be all that underrated, but I still feel like in general he is forgotten when listing some of the best 2-guards. He's up there, one of the best of the 90s.

Even on garbage teams somebody has to score.

On a championship team he'd be a 3rd option at best in his prime.

Maybe on a superteam like Miami, the 08 Celtics or the Lakers with Shaq/Kobe... but he was pretty damn good lol. If the Warriors had a real big man to hold down the paint and he never had to get traded as he was hitting his prime, I think you might hold him to a higher standard. He was no Kevin Durant but he was one hell of a Russell Westbrook-caliber player (obviously not comparing them as players, just the caliber in which they are regarded).

Meh, he was a complimentary player at best. If he was your best player, you obviously weren't going anywhere. I'm not saying he was trash. But that's why I say the basketball HOF is a joke. A guy who would have been no more than 2nd (I say 3rd) best on a good team is a HOFer. He was a good player, but HOF should mean more than that IMO. :yeshrug:

Sarunas Marciulionis? are they forced to take a foreign player every year or something?
