I never said it's baby shark level song writing. I said that aspect in itself doesn't make it a HARD diss track. Hit Em Up hit HARD because there's a lotta weight behind it. I don't hate Drake. I don't like Drake. fukk it Story Of Adidon was a harder diss track BY FAR. Let's not even speak on the Joe Budden disses toward the nikka. All harder than Not Like Us. Euphoria was a harder diss track than Not Like Us. Meet The Grahams would've been the hardest diss track of all of Kendricks if the last verse wasn't cap.But since he doesn't HATE Drake none of that matters, it's baby shark level song writing.
We all know what Not Like Us did in REAL TIME. Hell its only been a year. Its definitely one of, if not THE most effective diss records of all time. Whether its the “best” is subjective but based on its impact, staying power, and immediate legacy its unarguably no less than top 5. A diss song is meant to demoralize, skewer, and destroy the opponent’s character. By Drake’s own court filings Not Like Us accomplished JUST that. He’s even scared to say Kendrick’s name out loud.

Hit em up was one verse from Pac and the Outlawz, a lot of which people deem wack/forgettable. Yeah, lots of weight behind it, lots of impact but it is NOT a better song, it's just not. And that's coming from someone who stays getting negged for calling Dot overrated.
