NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
But since he doesn't HATE Drake none of that matters, it's baby shark level song writing.

:laff:
I never said it's baby shark level song writing. I said that aspect in itself doesn't make it a HARD diss track. Hit Em Up hit HARD because there's a lotta weight behind it. I don't hate Drake. I don't like Drake. fukk it Story Of Adidon was a harder diss track BY FAR. Let's not even speak on the Joe Budden disses toward the nikka. All harder than Not Like Us. Euphoria was a harder diss track than Not Like Us. Meet The Grahams would've been the hardest diss track of all of Kendricks if the last verse wasn't cap.

We all know what Not Like Us did in REAL TIME. Hell its only been a year. Its definitely one of, if not THE most effective diss records of all time. Whether its the “best” is subjective but based on its impact, staying power, and immediate legacy its unarguably no less than top 5. A diss song is meant to demoralize, skewer, and destroy the opponent’s character. By Drake’s own court filings Not Like Us accomplished JUST that. He’s even scared to say Kendrick’s name out loud.

Well said.

Kendrick understood the idea and objective of a diss song like no one else before, except Nas.

I think Not Like Us is the GOAT

Aint no disputing it

Just because of reach and damage

Dudes can argue all day, numbers and impact dont lie
This.

And most of that comes from the songwriting. It was that impactful because its funny, catchy...

What made nlu the goat track isnt the impact. Its the songwriting...because the impact is a result of the writing.

Not Like Us is more of a balanced diss song, Meet The Grahams was the darkest evil version and Euphoria is basically a napalm like Ether was.
Kendrick copied Story Of Adidion with Meet The Grahams.

Let's not forget the alleged daughter still hasn't been revealed from MTG

Hit em up was one verse from Pac and the Outlawz, a lot of which people deem wack/forgettable. Yeah, lots of weight behind it, lots of impact but it is NOT a better song, it's just not. And that's coming from someone who stays getting negged for calling Dot overrated.

You clearly like Drake enough regardless of what you say during these arguments. You're a lyricist yet you picked the ghost written rapper as having the best raps in this exchange. Hold water for his culture vulture antics like biting, pretty much being raised a suburban white jew violating and cosplaying our culture who didn't even know how to correctly pronounce the word nikka in a way that wouldn't make people double take as a grown man.

He is clearly not like 'us', yet you are constantly back against the wall for this nikka just to downplay Kendrick and the skill it took to make that song the way he did it. Lining up all those elements successfully is a skill.

Meet The Grahams might have a slight edge but Story Of Adidon is still a classic diss. Might have to revisit the latter a few years from now but recently listened to it and it’s still holding up.
