This is a reminder for myself to watch this. (:lolbron:)

BBC has revealed the first trailer for the upcoming psychological thriller titled The Girl Before, starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw and David Oyelowo. The limited series will be making its UK debut this December 19 on BBC One. Meanwhile, there is currently no release date set for its U.S. release that will be available for streaming on HBO Max.

The Girl Before trailer, which you can check out below, features a woman who grabs the opportunity of living in a beautiful and mysterious house. However, she’ll soon find out that everything isn’t what they seem to be as she learns more about the woman who occupied the house before her.

@Ciggavelli and @MidniteJay check this out when you can.

Always like seeing Gugu. Trailer isn't great, but I'll peep it when it comes to HBO Max if the reviews are good.

I love these modern style / minimalist houses and type of filming.

I finished this up earlier today. Overall I thought it was okay, some good performances but not exactly what I expected it to be.

My thoughts on how it wrapped up

It did a good job in pushing you to think Edward is the culprit throughout. Dude definitely had control issues and surprised Jane got that close with him so soon. A lot of questionable decisions by her, with everything she learns. Gugu is still :wow:. It really played into the trauma of Jane/Emma throughout. Was expecting more twists from the house and more of a thriller angle.
