I disagree. I've worked with kids for almost 20 years now and have raised 2. My experience is that raising kids is like anything else - you're gonna get out of it what you put into it. If you don't spend any time with your children then you're basically leaving how they turn out to chance, and "hoping" they don't fukk up.

I can tell you one thing. I don't have to be around a kid long, especially boys, to know which ones don't really have any males involved with raising them. Notice I didn't say which ones didn't have a male present, I said "involved." I've seen plenty of sorry ass dudes who were in the house everyday with their kids and couldn't have been less involved.

I agree with you.

The reason that I said what I said, though, is all of the siblings that we see are opposites.

Too many times there's one good kid and one shytty kid despite being raised in the same household by the same people and sometimes they're about the same age too

This is a hard pill for parents to swallow. As a child gets older they begin to develop their personality, and some of it is environmental and some of it’s just natural to their perception of the world. But at some point they’re gonna decide what lessons they’ll keep and which they’ll reject, as they grow into their own person.
My boy and his brothers are a great example, two parent household, raised by two wonderful people that instilled them with the same morals and values, yet one brother has completely rejected damn near all of it. Bro is selfish, petty and manipulative as all hell. He knows he’s wrong because he’s been taught better, but he doesn’t give a fukk.:yeshrug:
Parents don’t hold as much control over their children as they’d like to think, and I get it…shyt is scary.:hubie:

We are not the parents our parents or grandparents were.

It's too early for me to say about my kids but I will say this...... I got 3 kids, and raising 3 kids IS FUKKIN HARDDDDDDDDDDDD

When we had our first kid we were so involved with her, reading all these books on how to raise a genius.
Then, not planned, but we were preggo again, and BAM it was twins.
Now, we are overwhelmed.
It's hard man, it's fukkin so hard!!!

I think in a stable world, my children will do very well.

However, the world is becoming increasingly volatile and I’m not sure if I can equip them with enough to navigate through something like severe pandemics, economic shutdowns, recessions, and still be able to thrive to the fullest.
