i don't care what nobody say, certain shyt like gangsta rap becomes old, redundant and harder or just hard to listen to the older you get. don't get me wrong, i still occasionally will listen to a song here and there out of nostalgia but not like i did 10 to 15 and 20 years ago when i was knee deep into hip hop. a lot of shyt just becomes harder to listen too; well, at least it has for me with more and more time

A lotta newer stuff is bogey but there's enough good shyt coming out like Havoc & Alchemist's album, Curren$y's new stuff, Meyhem Laurens new shyt, Westside Gunn & Conways shyt, etc. I definitely dont have the patience I used to when listening to new stuff though, mostly be bumping some old soul or jazz shyt

Ive been playing this all weekend..and i dont listen to anything new. I hate the fukking radio. I deal with these Dominican brats in their early 20s and they be playing that gay new $hit. Makes my skin crawl...they are up on real $hit though. They arent all fluff.

It's true, but then I genuinely believe music today specially hip hop is terrible compared to a decade + ago so it's tough to listen to the new kids.

But then my Mom used to say the music when she was growing up is better than what I have/had so it is just a generational thing.
