Here's my question. If it cost $100 right and the game comes out and you see everyone else enjoying it around you, what are you gonna do?
Play one of the many other games I own that I haven't gotten around to yet. $100 is too much to ask for a game. I have GOTY level games still in the plastic, never booted, or with less than 5 hours played like Tears of the Kingdom, Elden Ring, Alan Wake 2, Spider-Man 2, God of War Ragnarok, Baldur's Gate 3.

It's not that I don't have $100 to spend it's just that in a few months to a year that game won't be $100 anymore. Why should I pay that much when it's really not worth it?

Yall been complaining for a decade now about how rockstar and ubisoft are trash for monetizing games they way they do.

But when presented with a choice you feel all of that nonsense is worth it so you can save $30 on the purchase.

All i said is yall should shut up complaining and applaud them for finding a way to monetize this huge investment while keeping up front costs down. :manny:

Anyone saying no, is a got damn liar.
This ain't no "regular" franchise. The last one came out OVER 10 years ago and STILL gets daily play across the world.
I can easily see them getting away with a $100 price point
I'm saying no and will post my psn play activity to prove it when it comes out if needed :yeshrug:

I can count with one hand the games I pay 60 bucks for each year.

Once you get over the nonsense FOMO is quite easy to save money on games, specially since they are all incomplete garbage nowadays on day 1

Imagine having a copy of GTA VI a few days before it officially launches? How much you think you can sell it for to someone is the real question :lolbron:

My G you got GOT 2 and haven’t played it yet :why:

You’re insane

& yet I also envy you lol…that experience for me was hella dope

And I’m old now so it’s taking me years to come down off the high (in terms of starting a new long form game, I got mad responsibilities so any game or show I commit to gotta be legit)

AKA its easy to avoid paying for new games when you barely game at all, got it

if you were trying to prove how smart you were with money you failed by collecting a bunch of shyt you don’t play or use. You could have been super smart and waited until you actually wanted to play them and bought them for even less money

It depends on who you're asking...

Young gamers such as younger Millennials (late 20s-early 30s) and Gen Z would likely buy the game because of the culture around GTA and the fact that this will likely be the last game for a while.

Old-head gamers such as Gen X and older Millennials (the mid-late 30s) probably wouldn't because nostalgia has them remembering when Triple-A games such as GTA, 2K, etc, were half the cost they are today so they might feel they're getting ripped off.

I think it's worth it considering Rockstar is extremely slow in releasing games that you don't know if GTA 6 will go online like GTA V. So GTA 6 might only be available for physical and digital purchases. I don't play video games as much anymore, but I'm planning on buying the game as a gift for someone.

I’m talking about things as they are now.

GTA6 won’t be $100 but i’m sure it will be more online/gaas/mtx focused than the last one.

Don’t wanna hear any complaints about it cause clearly people don’t wanna pay more for the game
