I have a degree and had been out of work for a year. Right when unemployment cut out I found a job :blessed:. First day was the 2nd starting 2014 off right.

I have 3 major misdemeanors and I'm black so its been hard. The only thing is my last job I was gettin $40k. With this job I'm barely scrapin thirty which aint cuttin it cuz I've got a child (support).

The lady who hired me is black and gave me a chance when these crackers woudlnt (literal racism during interviews) so it's either work there and a part time after work or look for something that can give me a chance to enjoy whats left of my 20s?

What would yall do?

True but what if a job calls in 3 months?

The company that hired me has a family atmosphere. The nice black lady is gonna be like "SMH I tried to give yall a chance" :stopitslime:

Pick up a trade. It would still be kinda hard cuz of your record but once you get real good at it and meet the right people and build clientele, you can work for yourself and open your own business

There are still some good people left in this world who will give you a chance so don't fukk it up

Well, I don't think it'll hurt to look around ...if you get a GOOD job offer and it's something you think will be stable (and that you'd want to do), I'd take the other job. But you definitely don't want to quit unless you already got something decent lined up. And I mean stable, you don't want to leave for another job and then end up getting let go six months later or hating your job.

So I guess what I'm saying is, I'd lean toward staying unless you get a great job offer and you think it's someplace you won't run into a bunch of 'cism (especially since it's been an issue for you). If you do stay where you're at, you might want to see if you can work your way up to a better paying position.
